Welcome
The following galleries contain a range of photographs that I hope you will enjoy, and maybe get some inspiration from. I produce all of the colour and black and white prints in my darkroom, apart from the cibachrome images. I particularly enjoy experimenting with varying film and darkroom processes using different papers and toners. The images on display have been taken using a range of different cameras from a 1962 Voightlander, through to Hasselblad, Olympus, Rollei and Nikon 35mm cameras.
I use film for all my work as, apart from having to with a large collection of old cameras, I feel an engagement that I don't get with digital.
I can only put it down to the organic nature of the material itself and the process involved in achieving the final image.
"Photography is more than art, it is a solar phenomenon, where the artist collaborates with the Sun" - Alphonse de Lamartine
