Ilton Farm
Ongoing photographic farm project to record the daily life of a local hill farm. This is only possible due to the wonderful patience, kindness, and co operation of the family who farm there. I feel that it is important to document this farm and the people who work the land as there are going to be changes in agriculture during the next few years that will impact greatly on farming in this country, particularly the smaller farms such as this one. The Selection of images in this gallery show a small part of the project so far. The exhibition is constantly being updated and consists of anywhere between thirty five - forty framed prints on a freestanding rack system. Anyone who wishes to book the show for any events please contact me through the site to discuss. I have shown the slide show to various local groups and the print exhibition to Lancaster University, Ripley Town Hall, Masham Arts Festival, and at the Kilnsey Show. For more information on rural arts go the links page and click on the Littoral link. Any future bookings I have for the display I will place on the news page for 2012.
"These people live again in print as intensely as when their images were captured on the old dry plates of sixty years ago. I am walking in their alleys, standing in their roomsand sheds and workshops, looking in and out of their windows. And they in turn seem to be aware of me".
